ever since i installed the motoria catback with race cat my car idles at 800-900 rpms and often fluctuates
(the needle moves when in neutral) and the exhaust pulsates a little.

had this checked out and hyundai said this was ok, is it?? does exhaust just loose low end idle and \
torque cause thats what hyundai dealer said. what can i do to fix my poor idle???

Exhaust shouldn't have any effect on idle really. Motoria is 2.25 so its really not much bigger than stock and wouldn't cause any idle hunt issues.

Is it too loud? An exhaust leak somewhere might cause an odd idle.

never install the race cat man, it''ll throw your O2 sensor off, even if you don't feel any difference you will be running lean like i was when i had my sensor wired up wrong. do get a high flow cat, it's the best thing and will give the car proper readings.

HKC, you wont run lean because there is a race cat/test pipe installed, the second 02 sensor has no influence on the fuel trim

if it only fluxuates between 8-900 that doesnt sound like a horrible idle, sounds almost normal, it may have done that before but you just didnt notice because the exhaust was quieter, give us a video and we can know for sure.

^^^Yeah, 8-900 is pretty much normal. What did it idle at before? Mine has been between 750 and 850 since I have had the car.

Its normal man, the car is louder and it vibrates more, so you just feel it just you couldnt tell before, also ive heard lack in backpressure adds to a little bit of a lobey sound, but as for the "race cat" as the call it, its just a test pipe, and the second o2 sensor isnt a big deal, it doesnt have any control over the fuel control, hell im not even throwing a CEL with header, and 2'' exhaust (just a cherry bomb and stock rd2 axle back)

When I did have a fartcan on it, it did lobe a little bit, and i know xxxmonoxidechilds car does the same thing.
