My Exedy HD clutch does that too & has always done it. My OEM clutch did too. You'll get used to it.

Mine has to be 90% out to engage and its brand new Bully stage 3. My stage 2 was about 60% out for it to engage.

Generally most people adjust them so the engagement point is at the top.

I've always been told to adjust it so its at the top to decrease clutch wear.

yah on the clutch pedal you can adjust where it engages and disengages.
