New Clutch Problems

Well jus the other day I had and XTD prolite lightweight flywheel and ACT clutch put in. Ok thats all fine and dandy. But when Im driving it normally and let out the clutch real slow(still breaking it in) everything is fine with that. But say I let the clutch out a lil faster than normal, the car will kinda jerk to the left side. I dont know if this is jus because the clutch is still new and breaking in and is grippy as a mofo or something else is really bad. Because the tranny was kinda low on tranny fluid and a buddy of mine suggested it could have damaged the differential bearings. I hope not.
Also shifting into gears is a lil harder than it was before. My third gear always would grind and still does, but now fourth does it a lil. Maybe I have bad shifter bushings and need to replace them? Seems like that is the problem. I hope so neway. If anyone could give me an answer to these I would appreciate it. Thanks in advanced.
BTW the clutch is ACT street disc with a heavy duty PP. I bought it off of Tibbychick.

A heavier clutch will exacerbate torque steer, which may be what you are feeling jerk you sideways. You may also need an alignment job.
Your transmission could be getting old, or you could just need to switch to Redline gear oil.

Hmm those could all be factors in that. Im hoping its not torque steer cuz from what I know its not really fixable, or is it? I could get an alignment for free if I wanna. Thanks NTB. haha. But it stopped grinding in fourth now so thats a good thing and everything is shifting like it used to so now Im happy. I think I may wanna replace the tranny tho cuz I stripped the threadings of one of the bolt holes near the drain plug. Not unless I should helicoil it. Ne suggestions on that? The bolt was loose in the first place and I simply overtorqued it. Now the tranny leaks. Bummer.

Before you go and replace the tranny, replace all of the shifter bushings and your tranny fluid with Redline.
It solved all of my similar problems.

Actually I have ordered bushings from Hyundai, jus need to go and pick them up. In your opinion, are they a b*tch to replace? Ok what about that tranny bolt threading I stripped? The bolt isnt stripped its the actual bolt hole threading thats stripped. Helicoil maybe?
Ok if Im experiencing torque steer, is there any solution to it or jus suck it up? Jus askin. I wanted to use Redline fluid but didnt have the time to get it ordered before the tranny was taken off. I thought maybe it was the clutch jus breaking itself in. Cuz it doesnt do it at lower RPM's, jus usually higher ones. Hmm. Hopefully its jus the clutch being new and all. Its only got 160 miles on it so far.

I wouldn't use OEM bushings to replace ANY of the bushings involved, except the 2 white ones that go IN the shifter block, as there is no aftermarket version of those.
None of them are a b**** to replace really, the 2 in the engine bay aren't fun, but aren't that hard.
Go to KJB Motorsports website and and buy the shifter base bushings. Then go and pick up 4 skateboard wheel bearings for the engine bay bushings.
The ones in the engine bay require a bit of filing/grinding on the inside of the bushing holders so the bearings will fit, but they are perfect, and CHEAP.
I don't know about the stripped threading.
Torque steer is more annoying than dangerous. The Engine Damper from KFX Performance got rid of a lot of mine. Learning how to drive a bit better helps too. LOL

Haha thanks. Ima pretty decent driver anywasys. lol. Maybe its jus a coincidence that my tranny crapped on me or something, Jus really hoping that its the clutch breaking itself. Hope so anyway. Any other help from you guys is appreciated. Im considering jus buying a new tranny for cheap and trying to figure out something to do with the betaII tranny that I have.
I just posted this in a TOB post.. copy paste lol
I had the exact same problem!!.when Bulley upgraded my stage 3 clutch, they put a reinforcement plate over the spring fingers, prongs, whatever you call em !, about 1/8 of an inch thick, which pushed the origonal fingers (with the spring clip in the middle) of the pressure plate 1/8 of an inch!, just enough to be unable to click the arm in place properly!.I figured this out after having the same problems as you, so I laid both pressureplates old and new on a flat surface, and using a measuring tape , I measured from the flat surface to the tob clip spring (stick tape or ruler in hole), there was 1/8 of an inch diff!..I sent it back stating the problem, they agreed, and sent me a stage 4 ,no issues. ,....I had the tranny in/out least 5 times b4 I figured it out!, hope this helps!?
