Ok..so I thought I would try out one of those cheap ass short shifters on ebay:

I got it today, and it looks 100% identical to the pic. And thats ALL that was included in the package. I dont even think the thing will work, because theres no shifter block or anything. So how the hell will it work? I was planning on getting the R-side, but figured I would try out a cheapy one for the time being. Considering this probably wont even work or the fact that its probably not even for a Tib...I'm just gonna toss is out and by the R-side sometime soon.... tongue.gif

QUOTE (Alex01tib @ Jan 9 2007, 02:16 AM)
the plastic piece on the bottom goes into the stock block, the one i bought had a replacement block but yours was even cheaper

why you shopping for a shifter, you already had one i thought??

Ohhhh....ok. HAHA....thanks. No...never had one. I kept going back and forth on the Shark Racing one, but then figured it would take probably 4 years before I actually got it. lmao.gif So got the cheapy one, until I decided to buy the R-side one. I think I might actually trash this one anyway, and just get the R-side. Might save me a bunch of headaches down the road. smile.gif

yeah... or you could use it to beat the guy over the head you bought it from... like a cop's billy club. I've got a stock shifter mechanisim sitting in front of me. I can't see a way it could work. The lower bar would get in the way.

I'd write the guy back and explain, he might send you the correct shifter.

Our RDs have two different shifters.

some have one and the others have another.

I even found out that same year tib has different shifter setting.

Most of us use the one left, but some people need the one on the right for their setting.

I don't know why they have two different setting.
