Ok, I don't have very much internet time.. please help me out.. i don't have time to even do a search.. very sorry.
FaithoftheDragon is going to kill me for this....
Ok, my CPS is bad.. very bad. need about 8 attempts to get it fully started. My car has been running for 16 hours(I needed some naps) because I was afraid that it wouldn't start again. I didn't even turn off the car when pumping gas. Hyundai Dealer is close to me; I will try to install CPS myself. Question: DO I need any special tools or is it a simple pull and plug?
PS: Faith, since you got the used CPS for me, I will pay for the labor when you took it out. It's very crucial that I buy a new one ASAP. If I miss this Alabama trip, I WILL BE SOOOOO PISSED.

This is what I could find on webtech
CRANKSHAFT POSITION SENSOR
The crankshaft position sensor which consists of a magnet and coil is installed by the flywheel. The voltage signal from this crankshaft position sensor is provided to the ECM for detecting engine RPM and the position of crankshaft.

it's got a picture at least.

Hey mang i just i can give some info.. It's better then nothing.
ON my jeep the cps is held in by 2 bolts. I don't see why it would be different on the tibby. It's located on the bellhousing. Just take it out and slid the new on in. Should just be plug an play. It just looks like a giant magnet inside the case, sensing the position on the flywheel.

Really easy for us, it's one 10 or 12MM bolt, you'll need a normal socket, but you might want an extenson on there. You could also do it with a combination wrench.
Unplug the plug, then undo the bolt, pull the old one out and inspect it. Clean it, try it again. If no worky, put a new one on.
And why would Faithofadragon kill you for this?
