well, it does sound like your tranny but i'm just thinking could it be an intake air leak? when you rev it up high the car will move a little .. it's more like a serious loss of power? or am i misunderstanding you.

not if just a hose was loose, wiggling in and out of position.
im just saying that because my car did this once, the plastic intake elbow that connects to the tb didn't have the clamp tightened down, and the car was puking like mad. if i pushed the gas down it would just rev up and not go anywhere. like i would have been driving and floor it and the car would rev really high and basically just sit there, producing about 5% as much power as it should have been. i was really scared because i thought my tranny was going too, then i got a CEL so i thought it could be an air leak instead.

but after reading this guy's previous posts, i'd say it's safe to say it's the tranny. and it's safe to say that the tranny's totally gone too, because i read a post saying he had it flushed fluid and filter changed all less than 10k ago.

SloKDM, was your symptoms the exact same because if so I might be able to just buy the silenoids and torque converter thanks everyone hoping to get back on the road!
