If the motor is moving front to back, then maybe you want to make the front and back mounts stiffer, so....................

Does anyone even make mount inserts/replacements for the RD's? If not just get some polyurethane and fill them bishes. fing02.gif

I will warn you though, with just the front and rear rollstoppers filled I still get plenty of vibration in the cabin. Any creaks and rattles you have now will get worse, and they may even bring some new friends with them. happysad.gif

go to KSpec and look at the YaYa bushings...

And you know.. you CAN use the little gas shock things the drifters use to control engine movement. Just because our cars are not rear wheel drive does not mean we cannot benefit from reduced engine movement.

i have those mounts waiting to be installed tomorrow, I got 2. smile.gif I should take a video on my cam with some before and after smile.gif I'll let ya know. I had spare mounts, so I was able to bring them to a shop and have the eurethane part (which is what ya get) fitted in place. it should be quick from there on out, now, i'm not turbo, but i do have about 6 inches of sway, i know my front mount is dead, so this should be noticeable.

go to Kspec.com, type in a search for engine mounts. they go for $79.00 each. I'm getting one for my supercharger in a year or so when I get a better job.

i filled my stock mounts with a product called 3m window weld. many other cars have been doing it for years, so i did it a few years back. its worked great, and helped the traction quite a bit. my front end used to bounce alot on hard launch's, and after i filled the mounts, it just hooks. not bad for a 10 dolloer investment.

I filled my motor mounts with polyeurethane. same stuff used to seal windshields and the same has the 3M product. Costs about 10$/tube and you will need 2 tubes. Works great. It will do 80-90% of a real eurethane motor mount for a fraction of the cost.

Remember that very stiff engine mounts will stop your engine from moving BUT will make the whole car shake. The important thing if you do it yourself is to let motor mounts dry for a good 12-16h minimum. The longer you wait, the harder they will be. Also, apply successive thin coats. Don't fill the engine mount completely the first time. Allow some rest in between layers.

Aftermarket mounts are nice, but filling them with polyeu. is just too cheap and too simple to NOT do. I did mine and they are great. I might eventually get the aftermarket ones, but for now, the DIY ones work too good to worry about replacing.
