Need exhaust advice
I cut out catalytic. (I had only one catalytic - under the car). After cat. I have resonator and something (I think it's 2nc resonator but round in section) and then I have performance mufler.
Would you recommend to cut out that resonators or not?
Will my car sound after I cut them very loud?

Any hp gain if I remove them?
Or is it better to remove only 1?
What is glass pack and how to put it there? Why do I need glass pack?

If you remove the resonator you will probably sound buzzy. If you realy want to remove them, cut them out and put in a glass pack.

You should put in a HIGH PERFORMANCE CAT, like a magnaflow or carsound cat.
I don't know how the Ukraine is on Emissions, but the rest of us in the world like to breath clean air man, the extra stank from your exhaust isn't worth the 2 HP you might get from not having a cat.

I think Tib without catalytic will not produce much more pollution. And I think it will pass Ukrainian Emissions without cat (it's not as strict as in US).
On my previous car after I cut out catalytic I stoped noticing is my AC turned on or off. So there was noticeble hp increase. But it sounded very loud. BTW there was also performance mufler.

actually i think any car will. i don't know how Ukraine is... but in USA, especially MD, there are tons of ricers. When you drive behind one (always Honda Civics) they try to show off and accelerate hard in front of you. All you hear is an annoying buzzing sound and white smoke coming from the exhaust. Then you smell the nasty exhaust when it goes over your car and into your vents. You'd think the Honda had somekind of problems with it, like it's been raced and misused and the engine is practically killed... but it's not. It's becausxe ricers do the work themselves and don't care or know about emissions. They leave the cat convertors out and have nothing but white smoke coming out. When emissions comes up, they lift up the car and put the stock exhaust back in... After emissions, they take the cheap aftermarket back in and cat convertor out. they also drill holes in their exhausts to make it sound louder... rolleyes.gif
my reasoning... just spend the extra $80 and just get the Magnaflow cat convertor welded to your exhaust and not have to worry about a single thing.

You'd be surprised at how much a cat convertor can cleans... rolleyes.gif Any car that is possible to have a cat on, I would put one on. I'll admit I run my Corvette without cats, but I run it less than 1,000 miles a year and its impossible for me to have one.

i would suggest getting a long resonator or glasspack, it will help to make the tone of the exhaust lower, or slightly deeper......it wont hurt performance at all
a reonator is a pipe with a bigger diameter, nothing in it..... a glasspack is a resonator with a perforated core insulated with fiberglass.... you can put it in you exhaust before the muffler anywhere there is straight piping.....
and get a cat..... its not worth the minmal hp gain to put all the extra toxins in the air.....
