my intake fell off
i just looked under the hood and well, theres really no other way to put it. my intake fell off. I don't know how long ago it was either. no idea. not to say that there's no dirty air under my hood, but there is no CEL yet. Will this happen soon, even if i re attach it? Has this happened to anyone else?( i will not be driving it now that i know its unattached.)

Im guessing super glue will be point less once your engine bay heats up. Just use the metal clips. ANd make sure they are ALL TIGHT. Put a "pin" in the slots on the metal clips...if need be...so it wont "slide" open.

the problem wasnt that it wasnt screwed in enough.....there was alot of bending involved in putting this intake on (something between a cold air and a short ram, a hybrid if you will) i purchased it from someone who had a 1st gen tib (and i dont know if theyre engine bays are different or not, but it didnt fit quite right), so it just popped off, still screwed intothe intake but not the (02 sensor or MAF, i forgot which one it is that im referring to), so i screwed it in a little tighter and will check every day. things to purchase: flat head screwdriver so i dont have to use a knife, flashlight so i can do the shIot at night. god damn potheads and their peer pressure.

Several people have had their intakes fall off. Even RED! (granted, he wasn't driving at the time!).
Just pop your hood and wiggle it at every gas fill up...while you wait for your tank to fill.
