Default My first CAI

all i have to say is DAMN. i'm not finished yet (still have to heat wrap) but i'm impressed so far as well as shocked. I installed a random special (yes i screwed up when cutting the engine liner) car sounds almost normal (slightly barely noticeably deeper) when driving around conservatively it sounds almost the same as well... However when accelerating hard or going WOT good lord... i didn't think it would be so loud, at first i thought it was the car next to me, I'll have to check for acctual power gains on my way to work. I was to busy going bonkers over the sound smile.gif

When i took my 2.5" hole saw to it (to speed cutting and fitting) it was down near the curve, thought i measured it right but my fender well nose has a little wing on it that sticks up, so to clear the filter i had to raise the hole almost to the top of the engine liner as well as put a slight dent in the fin to clear the tubing. no biggie was just trying to beat the sun setting and didn't quadrupal check everything like i normaly do. this weekend i may take some photos when i take it off to heat wrap it to help explain better.
