My Custom Made Short Shifter

Well I finally got some pics up of the short shifter that I made.
The body is 2024 Aircraft ally as is the knob only polished (I like to have a polished knob lol.gif ), shaft is 316 stainless steel, pivot pins are chrome-molly steel, and bushings are teflon.

Yeah, the lot even the knob.
Like I told you before mang, I'm an aircraft machinist and have CNC & CAD CAM facilities at my disposal.
It's a pitty that I live so far away hey!

If you notice in the pic of the shifter installed there is a different clip holding the fitting on the pin for the side movement. That's because when those spring clips take off they go far & fast. The original 1 is up inside the dash somewhere I think lol.gif

you should change the title to "My self-fabricated short shifter"
some people might look over the title and not be interested, but that is definately something worthy of props. good job.
