The Tib has enough power to overpower the stock suspension and drivetrain stock... any higher temp off idle is going to be eliminated after the launch since your going to be going 30 mph in 2.5 seconds or so. If your talking high modded cars then yes, they do cool down the intake before going to the tree. I've icepacked my intake route in my GSX and it did yield small improvements. The Tib would yield none. FWD on street radials sucks. lol.gif

You know what would be cool.. if someone chopped a hole in their hood and put the filter outside... LOL. I've never seen that before, although I have seen intercoolers stuck out of hoods before. I should try it on some cheap N/A car I find somewhere. lol.gif

I just saw this topic.... I have to tell you something.... When i have my CAI installed, I put it in the exact same position as yours..... to make the story very short is: driving, rain, hole, blup!! and $350 + internal parts.

^ Mine is in the same spot too & you'd have to drive through a foot or more of water before the filter would be fully submerged & cause your engine to hydrolock...

very weird. I've had my intake like this since last Oct. I think and it went through very rough winter. We had a lot of snow and rain here in MD.
