My Car Is Dying.... I Need Help
hmmm... did you by chance drop either or your O2 sensors? they are rather fragile and if you break one, it is going to be telling the computer all sorts of strange things about the engine.
i'm still confused .. you aren't describing your problem that well.
you're saying that when you try to give the car gas (push the pedal down) that the car bogs and dies instead of revving (you can't get your engine to rev up)?
this happens ALL the time or just some of the time?
how's the idle?
what if you try to open the throttle slowly?
what o2 sensor did you replace?

First thing you should do is check your fuel pressure at the rail, A bog will usually mean that you are getting enough air but not enough fuel, things like an o2 sensor or MAF would not cause this problem, your car would still rev up if it if those things are bad, it won't run good but it would run in limp mode. There are only several things that would cause your car to lack that much fuel, it could be the fuel pump, fuel filter or the injectors but the odds of all four injectors clogging up are pretty rare so it should be either the pump or filter giving you problems, I think your wasting your time playing with any of the sensors since no single sensor would prevent car car from reving cause the ecu will go into limp mode and run off of a base map wich leaves me to beleive you must have a mechanical problem.
ok ,, now I have no more to look.
I changed my first O2 sensor, for a new one bought from Partsamerica.com, now, I put the used one yesterday and I drove it, and everything was ok, no problem at all. Today I drove t again and evrything fine, I didnt drope any of the sensor.
My car tries to rev up but nothing happen, just tries and start to try to turn off. even in idle.. but this happened with the new sensor. and it happens after a little while, almost at half tempeture.
NOW!... I was thinkg about that maybe the wires of the new sensor has in the wrong place. could this happen? when i bought it, says that it was an OEM replaced and it was also for another cars.
This afternoon i will try the new sensor and I will know if the sensor is the problem or not.
but I cant get my engine rev up, even opening the throttle slowly.
thanks and keep saying what you think..

^^^ But he have a CEL when that happened.
For example - try to disconnect throttle possition sensor. At idle it will work ok without CEL, but when you open throttle car boggs, throw a CEL. If you tap it to WOT very quickly, enginge can even stop.
With MAP/MAF sensor problem ECU will not know about more air and will not add more gas. So you'll run lean.
EDIT: If you kick WOT ECU will work in open-loop - it will not read oxygen sensor(s)

Is any smoke coming out of the tail pipe? I overfilled my beater on oil and it ran like ****, it would run okay at low rpm's but would almost die when I rev'd it up. Also, maybe you have a really bad tank of gas? Just some thoughts...
I havent test my again for time problem, tomorrow in the morning i will test with the new O2 sensor.
I dont have smoke.... lol and abou t the fuel filter Its the original, from the factory and my car has 60000k miles lol but this weekend i will replace that too.
I change my gasoline for more octane gas. so I´m preparing for anything without the new O2 sensor.
I hope to have some good news tomoroow, or at least i will have to know what´s going on.
thanks everyone.
