Everything I know about engines, I've learned from experience. SO, I've learned that if I clean my engine with spray-down-cleaner, and my engine acts weird a day or two afterwards, it means that I wasn't careful enough to keep water away from my spark plug cover. Well, no matter how careful I am, I always foul the plug on the far right. I disconnect the battery, pull the wire, and pull the plug, always to have the plug literally dripping with water. I dry it all off, and reassemble. Back to life as normal.

Here's my question... When I mentioned this today at work, someone said I was probably losing power due to the wire plug not sealing, even when there isn't moisture in there.

What do you engine gurus have to say about this?

i've always been a big fan of gobbing di-electric grease in the wires. makes for a better connection, and will help keep a lot of that water out.
