I was told by someone at Auto Zone that Wal-Mart actually has the trademark or something for 5Qt. jugs, that's why AutoZone sells 5+ (5.28qt?) instead of 5Qt.
Paying $32 at AutoZone for 5.28 is the perfect amount of fluid for me. I'd rather pay $32 than $26 for 5qt and another $8 for 1qt. and hassle with partial bottles. I already have a stack of filters and other car products, I don't want to start holding partial bottles

I did hear that about the jugs and Wal Mart too. And Mobil must not like the agreement because they have told me they will not ever offer the 0w40 in the jugs.

^^^ That probably has more to do with the fact that Mobil 1 0W-40 is the factory fill for the GTR. They wouldn't was my parts department to start buying it at Walmart.

They carry the 0w40 at WalMart but in quarts. ~$6.40 or so.
What I meant about the jugs is WalMart probably cut a deal with Mobil over the jug price. Then Moil came out with 0w40 and will not sell to WalMart at the jug old price. WalMart probably pays $2.50 a qt or so I bet.

That's what I mean. We stock Mobil 1 0W-40 in quarts. If we could get it in jugs, it would cost us less, but we'd still charge the same for an oil change. Mobil 1 knows this. That might be why they won't sell that grade in jugs.
