I owe a 2004 accent. I am trying to find the maf. On the intake I see 3 sensor units. Which one is it? the one on the on the far left? Correct me if I'm wrong but the one on the right is the idle air control vavle. The one in the middle and far left I am not sure. Now I know that you should use electrical cleaner to clean the maf, but what to use for the idle air control valve, carb cleaner?



Lastly, is the fuel pressure regulator the black cylinder behind the intake and the left side? It looks like it connects to a line behind the fuel line.

I used the RDT and kitfoxer logins for YEARS with good success, then they stopped working. I signed up for one of my very personal ownesome earlier today. It took <1 minute to fill out the form, check my email, copy down the password, and login.



. . . It is a topic for a different thread that I just downloaded ALL the manuals to my computer so the login problems I was having are now moot!

I already had an account there. I can't seem to find were they are labelled. Other then a few in the shop intake and exhaust components. Then only two a labelled. I know that TPS stands for throttle position sensor. But what is ISA? And don't see the MAF.

I'll hazard a guess and say ISA is Idle Speed Actuator, a little motor that opens/closes the throttle body vs. the idle air bypass *pneumatic* valve on an RD. If I'm wrong anyone else feel free to correct me.

Speaking of the MAFs on my car

However, the location of the airflow sensor on my car may be moot . . . Section 6 (DIY Maintenance) Page 2 of the 2004 Accent owner's manual shows a diagram of the engine bay clearly having a MAP based system. The Manifold Air Pressure sensor is smack in the middle of the front of the intake manifold.

Try a website like rockauto.com, kragen.com, autozone.com and lookup the parts your looking for that are for you specific model. Most of the time they show you what the part looks like then you can search for it under the hood.



Also you could try posting a pic of your engine compartment and someone here can point them out for you.

More than likely, as stocker said, you have a MAP based system. (I feel like I've been agreeing with him to much lately)



Sensor will be mounted to the middle of the intake manifold



And your fuel pressure regulator is mounted on the end of the fuel rail, so i believe that is what you are looking at.

As stated there is no MAF, it is a MAP based system.



There is also no fuel pressure regulator in the engine bay. It is in the tank.
