hey i was wondering im going to be running 8.5.1 ratio,not with turbo till next year.how much power will i lose.I heard I might not be able to hit 70 in my car so no highways.also will i cause damage.

well because i blew my other engine well the shop did and had to put this one in that has the low comp allready

Rough guesstimate... on a stock average Tib (~115whp) going to 8.5:1 will probably knock you down to ~95whp I would imagine. Its really more of a hit on the low end. High comp is what makes the Tib kind of quick from low RPMs for a 4 cylinder.

I'm running Wiseco pistons with .040 over and the motor runs just as good/fast as a stock one. I'm not boosting right now either.

My dad's Daewoo Espero has 2.0 SOHC with 8.8:1 compresson ratio, it has 105 hp and pulls pretty normal.

I think you may loose like 10-20 hp
