Default Kore wires and small mod *PICS*

Ok, i finally found out why i was loosing power at certain rpm's. Well my connector onto my coilpack was pressed together so it wasn't making decent connection to the coil-pack. anyway, i also took the red sheath of my kore wires to get them to fit, and i found out that they aren't copper afterall, but stainless steel. I was a little pissed, but i checked kore's website and found that they're listed as stainless. Anyone know what mantecore's are made out of? anyway here's some pics

Here are the old sheaths on the wires

Here are the kore wires installed and fitting! smile.gif

Closeup on the cables. actually magstar cables sad.gif

This is the copper connectors, and i fixed my issues by sticking my key in the connector and spreading the contacts apart so they fit better on the coilpack (nice clunk sound smile.gif

I must say that many of you need to realize, that not all the top companies make their own products, many have MANUFACTURERS that they buy them off, and are sold a contract that you are allowed to sell them with your name... same thing that happened a while back for those that remember with TC SPOILERS and MHP, MHP had the impression they were the only sellers of that CF HOOD, well they were wrong, since TC sold them to everyone... Just cause they have the *X BRAND* name on them, does not mean they are built in house... please understand that...

From VITEK website
QUOTE
VITEK Performance Cables have our unique stainless steel wire wound (*Mag Wire*) conductor with a Dupont Kevlarâ core. The conductor is insulated with an extrusion of gold silicone then braided with Fiberglass to achieve ultimate mechanical strength of the finished product.
and a pic to help you understand what it's made of...

Batlords correct. Dan NEVER said these are Vitek's wires. He said these are wires that come from the same MANUFACTURER VITEK (AND OTHER BRANDS) USE.

baaah, who needs wires, i'm going to getmyslef some solid copper wire (wire, not cable) about a inch think and fuse it to my spark plugs. that should work wink

heehhe, yeah, it works fine now after i put fixed them. also i did that mod where you dremel back the little metal overhang.

its also wierd, for the first time in my cars life, i put 87 in it, and it seems to be running better then 89 or 93 (93 had horrible gas mileage). i can get about 23-25mpg on 89 and 18mpg on 93. i'll check what 87 gives me.
