Default knocking?

I think I have a knock...how do I tell for sure? Is there anything I can do about it..? I bought some octane booster/fuel system cleaner/knock+ping stopper and put it in my gas tank tonight, does this stuff actually work? I also bought a thing called Engine Restorer, you put it in after you change your oil, do any of these products actually do what they claim? Or could the noise just be from cold weather?

yes.. describe the knock... if it is a constant light clicking, you probably are just low on oil...

Are you n/a? If you are, I doubt your getting it unless one of your knock sensors failed. If it did, wouldn't a bad sensor throw a CEL anyway?

Knock sounds like a big ass pinhead dropping in your engine. TWEEEEENK. Or something similar to that.

Sounds to me like you have a chatty lifter. See if it goes away after the new oil coats the lifters for like a week.

Well, it depends what caused it. If You have been good with the oil in your car, then the worst case scenario is to take the lifters out and check to see if you have one that is bad (webtech search for lifters).

How many miles on the engine?
