my timing belt was a little loose and im afraid it skipped a tooth. i want to crank it by hand but im afraid my valves will hit my pistons. any way of doing so without taking the head off again? i have dished wiseco oversized pistons, pauter rods, stock cams, ferrea valves +1 mm and valve springs, and decked head atleast once

We have a interference motor as you know. And with the kind of internal engine work you have done, I would suggest just take the head off to check.

if you turn it by hand youll be fine. i dont think you can bend a valve cranking it by hand. id do that first

my cousin (who bought my blue tib below) was driving and had the timing belt go out. she had no bent valves.

i would definitely pull it off to check before starting it up though...
