I was just wondering. I don't know that much about cars but I read alot and like to learn more. Is our motor an interference type motor? Basically, I am asking what happens to the car once the timing belt snaps. Some motors will just stop running until a belt is put on, while others will completely destroy themselves. Thanks in advance for your help! (Pun intended)

EDIT: I want to know what happens to our Beta engines specifically.

Generally, pistons and valves do not get along. Usually the valves will punch holes in the pistons as they are broken off of their stems.. then they usually wedge in the head.. it makes for a very expensive, heavy, and interesting paperweight when you are done.
