If that's the case best bet would the 1.8 cam... you can find them for about $60.

Did you even read the forum that you originally had posted in, the 1.8 cam shaft?

If you dont want to spend more than $300, then the 1.8 cam is pretty much your only choice.

I'd personally save up and get the regrinds through Colt Cams/KFX, your only a hundred + away from the price.

yeah i read a majority of it, but I also read in the DIY section that there is no reason for the 1.8l cam swap

There is a performance gain in the swap...... and for $60 it's really not bad. There are no dyno numbers on the gains, but its in the neighborhood of 5whp, which is decent, however, this is not gonna give you a gazillion hp/tq like those ebay chips...... nana.gif

Maybe I'm retarded reading the text on the site you linked, but the cams you linked to seem like single cams that have intake/exhaust on one cam - the Tiburon runs two, obviously. Single cams generally go in larger V8s (LSx, crate motors, etc).

Have you read this?

Also, in that thread they mention the crowler regrinds... I'm sure others could chime in on that since I've only heard of Mauricio doing it and I don't think he ever evaluated them.

Thank you, I eventually had my dad explain to me that basically universal cams are a hoax, I appreciate you finally pointing that out... I wish someone would've looked at my links cause I was looking at those ones the whole time.. so in the long run my only choices are the 1.8L cams or the colt cams?
