its junk, dont bother.

Please try using the search. This has been covered like 50 million times.

It may increase hp on a turbo car or big block v6/v8. but not on are like 4 bangers.

The idea is sound. If the ecu thinks its always getting cold air. It will not retard ignition timing.

But the problem can accure, with the ignition timing being advanced and hot air coming in can cause detonation.

Other problem is. A general run of mill one off of a ebay wont work.
It needs to be the correct 5cent resistor from radio shack.

Like I said on TSR
It's NOT a chip
It's a $0.15 resistor

vorhees, you're missing the concept. the "intake sensor mod" THEORETICALLY, tells your ecu colder air is coming in than what actually is coming in. like shadohh said, it's theoretically sound...for some applications. a cold air intake doesn't "fool" your ecu. if it pulls in air at 75 degrees F, then your Intake Air Temperature sensor tells it that. with the "mod," if your intake pulls in air at 75 degrees F, it might tell the ecu that the air is 60 or whatever degrees F. see what i'm saying? the "mod" "fools" the ecu, the cold air intake doesn't. the cai is a safe mod.
