I assume the intake manifold is not that hard to remove. I only see a few bolts holding it on, but how heavy is the manifold. Can one person lift it out fairly easily or should I have an engine hoist?

 

I have an IM sitting in my room. It's not very heavy. You should have no problems moving it with one hand.

I hear it's a pain to take off and put back.

No hoist. It's made of aluminum and light. The hardest part is removing a couple of hard to reach bolts on the back side towards the bottom. Read more here.

What happened to that thermal spacer?

 

The manufacturer I was using shut down. HyundaiPerformance was going to get some made, but due to lack of interest, persued other products that folks were more interested in.

If folks were to email them, I'm sure they might start up the spacer program again.

 

what motor is the spacer for? I had cnc machined spacers made for the 1.6 dohc
