brah,
can you be more specific with your questions... please...
so, you mean by special tools needed to take the engine apart, then installing them pistons, then putting the engine back together or just installing them pistons on a (already) ripped apart engine?
btw, the shop manual should have indicated and special tools or have you checked webtech? there is a list there

I'm going to be starting fresh soon (nothing is torn apart yet.) The manuel has around 11 or 12 different tools that I need, but a lot of times you dont really need to use most of them. This is my first time taking the engine apart and I was just looking for some info from people who already did this.
Thanks
I already have everything that monoxide listed btw.

i guess you are reusing your stock rods for the low comp pistons.. so for the piston pins, just take it to a machine shop and have them do it for you
and for the oil seals... you have to replace the old one anyways, so whats wrong with using a (skinny) flathead scewdriver to pry it out... now to install the new ones, you can go ghetto and find a cylinder (milk can, fruit cans, etc) with the same size of the seal then push the seal in using those... or even more ghetto and just use a rubber mallet to (lightly) pound around the seals
