Nitrous or an engine swap.
You could try supercharging also, but the highest I've ever seen on the 4 banger with 10,000 dollars poured into it was 199 WHP.

yes, turbo will give you more hp for cheaper.
aoo depends on your engine condition. if it's ok with good compression and doesn't take oil - then you can boost it. Also you can always swap in a used low miles engine.

High hp NA on the street really isnt going to be very drivable. I think this topic has been covered about every month though. Why a straight hp number??

you could do it NA and itll cost alotta money.. you could do alotta NA and nitrous.. wont be constant 200hp but ull have it when u need it..
for the supercharging option, with about 10k into a custom kit you will get results well over 200hp.
turbocharging would be best option.. 200hp could be had for about 3k.. and you could buy my turbo stuff and itll be cheaper.. heh.. smile.gif

An average Tib should be around 134~138 nominal HP, that should be around 115~120 WHP.
So, if you want as you stated 200HP I guess you refer to nominal HP, and that should be around 175WHP, as every other member said, that would be really difficult and expensive, but if you are not minded into an HP number (which I wouldn't recommend) and also don't want to spend money on a turbo and also the problems asociated with it (it's not too easy either) you could do some nice NA mods and be around 150WHP or 171HP nominal.
The most important thing is not how many HPs you achieve on peak power in the dyno, but how the engine delivers the power, how soon your torque rises, how much torque you get from your engine in each rpm band.
Try NA mods first the lightest and peripherical first like CAI, Header, cams, AirRam, exhaust and then get into hi comp (1.8 pistons and BetaII gasket) and then according to what you have achieved head porting; you will end with a VERY nice and enjoyable car to drive, probably more reliable than a turbo setup, and then if you are not happy sell the mods and begin again.
For your question, I would advise you to star modding NA; getting to 200HP even on the turbo road is not cheap nor easy and you will spend a lot of dyno hours trying to do it right (if you know what you are doing, if not, be prepeared to spend a fortune to have it done by somebody else).

Naw getting to 200 with a turbo kit is easy, if you know what your doing.
5 pounds and stock fuel will get you pretty close. A piggy back, good tuning, and 7 pounds, and you should have ~200whp.
Much much much easier and cheaper route than n/a or alpine s/c (so far)
