44k..bought it at the dealer with 38k on it. I dont know if a tune-up was done or not..I would guess that the dealer might have any of those records? cause they usually fix the car up before selling it.

Well the dealer wont be able to see it until Thursday so I went to the local mechanic shop where I used to work. They said that I needed my spark plugs changed because of carbon build up and I needed a fuel system cleaning. But isnt carbon build up an indicator of another problem? Thanks for the help guys.

Carbon deposits build up when the plug fails to fire correctly and burn them off.

As Redz would say, run some fuel injector cleaner every 6ish fuel tankups.

well to me it sounds alot like plugs/wires. are you getting a cel??

ok do this:
1. pop off the plug wire cover and start up the car.
2. disconnect each wire one by one, wether it be at the coil pack or the plug itself (i did it at the plug)
3. if it gets worse, that plug is fine, says the same, that plug is bad.
4. if any of them stay the same replace all plugs/wires.

my car acted the same way, steering wheel vibrasions and all and after plugs and wires it was all better. laugh.gif:

^^Yes it is the plugs, someone checked them out and said I had carbon deposits on them..meaning they have to be changed. Plus I have to go for 45k service as well.

Well Im hoping after my dad and I do this tune-up I'll be problem free for a while. The car is the last thing I want to worry about right now; but with my tibby its always when one thing gets fixed another thing goes wrong..go figure. eyeroll.gif
