Default HP loss with Headers

I was talking to the GURU's (sarcasim) at HDK the other day and the guy told me that some customers were not happy with the 4-2-1 header because of a loss of high end power. I know the 4-2-1 is supposed to aid low and mid power but what about the top end? Anyone who has these please respond, I've never heard that before.

Poorly designed headers can have a whole range of problems...no low end, no midrange or no top end.

When Batlord put the Shark Racing 4-2-1 headers on his car, He got something like 6 HP. I'm haven't dug up the Dyno tests and exact details, but I think you'd be happy with an extra 6 ponies to the wheels. If I remember right, he got another 6 (12 totoal) with the KORE cat back system. Just don't quote me on this untill I dig up the dynos and such.

When I do buy headers they will be the Shark Racing 4-2-1's, the HDK guy said he had 4-1's on sale or clearance so maybe it was a sales pitch.

How much performance did you actully notice Zorro? Like was it like a "new car" type thing where you felt the difference or was it minor?
