How Much Power Does A Preformance Camshaft Add?
holy shit! eleventy whp? im gettin at least 6 preformance camshafts now.
well in all due seriousness i guess a better question pertaining to camshafts that are built for preformance is: what makes them preformance, what do they do for the engine, and what will they do for an RD2?

What makes them "performance" is the lift and duration of lobe.
They change the dynamics of the air entering the engine.
depends on what kind you get and how you shape other aspects of you engine
With minor supporting bolt ons like a CAI and header back exhaust and a stock ecu with maf sensor. I would say anywhere from 10-20 whp gain depending on the cams that are used. You will definately feel the difference. Although cams aren't normally cheap for our cars, kspec has them for somewhere around 1100 bucks. Some weird performance company on the forums does regrinds for cheaper I think though. Maybe look into that.
But if you don't already have a good cai (AEM), BBTB, header, and full exhaust, don't even think of doing cams yet as your engine will not flow very well anyway. Make sure you have all the supporting mods necessary to ensure you get the most bang for your buck out of the cams.

^^qft, head porting and cams together can be used for high end or the other way around if done to the right spec, but if ur running a 1.5 in. exhaust like the ngm guys and there supercharger right now ur backpressure ie fluctuations in airpreaause throughout ur engine wont be tuned for quick throttle responce or w/e ur aiming for with ur porting cam selection
