I am getting ready to buy my headers and exhaust and i was going to replace the catalytic converter with a high flow one. What are some of the choices and has anyone done this and noticed improvements in sound and power.
The only one i know of is Random Technology
Any info would be great
Thanks

Is there a homepage from Carsound Cats avaliable?
I want to see if there are any dyno runs with the Carsound installed?
I was on the Random Technology site and the Dyno numbers are pretty impressive?
I wanted to compare the two ad see the difference. Thanks!!!!!1

there was a big thread on the rx7forums discussing the so called high flow cats, and the thing is there are only 2 differant types of cats that are allowed to be used and the only differance between so called high flow cats and regular ones is that the openings are bigger, annd they are usually one piece, and shiny, other than that they have the same flow because the cat is functionally the same

Then those guys at the Rx7 Board don't know their ass from a cat converter.
A "High flow" cat converter has fewer internal plates, and a different internal design than a standard cat. It is designed with more internal surface area, for the same ammount of "cleaning" yet offering less backpressure due to the fewer plates.
All 3" opening cats are NOT the same. Random Technology cats are expensive for a reason. Catco cats are cheap for a reason. There IS a difference.

I called up a shop to check price on a Random Technology Universal Cat and they quoted me $225US including shipping for the 2.5inch inlet IN and OUT.This is a little pricey but was wondering where i can determine pricing for a Carsound Cat!!
Is there a webpage for it!!
Or do you think i should just go with carsound bebause there wont be much of a difference in performance. What do you think?
