Hey guys i kinda f***ed up on stripping the bolt on the bottom of the fuel filter willing i was trying to take it off to replace it and wanted to know if theres a way to get the bolt off. i had boughtin the new filter and i still havnt installed it yet what options do i have to fix this issue please help me out guys thanks

I kind of screwed up. I stripped the bolt on the bottom of the fuel filter while I was trying to take it off to replace it. What I want to know if there is a way to get the bolt off? Can i ask what technique you were using to try to remove the bolt? Were you following the DIY on the site?

We need more information. There's a few bolts there. Can you post a picture or give a better description? I have changed my fuel filter a few times and I do not know what you're talking about.

if it's already stripped to hell, vice grips.

fyi, always use wrenches like this on tube nuts. they are called line wrenches/flare wrenches...

There arent any bolts on the bottom? Do you mean the fuel line nut on the hard line? If so the only way to fix it would be cut it off and make a new flare or whatever with a new nut. I dont even remember how it is anymore since I dont run stock fuel filter. A pic would help for sure.

Also, are the threads stripped or just the head? If just the head you can use a vice grips as mentioned. Its just hard to see what you mean with this post. Hope we can get it figured out. Good luck!
