ever since i got my car last april of 06, from time to time my car will idle rough and sound
like it is bogging in and out. Today, it started normal, but after
about a block or so, i would give it gas and it basically took forever to get up to
speed and is tounds like its almost going to stall and the car is like vibrating
the clutch is new and the battery is too...
is it a timing belt?? i dont think it got replaced yet, but i was told the its probaly isnt this
o2 sensor??
plugged catalytic converter??
help me out???? please
thanks

Go to an Autozone and get your CEL read for free.
It's probably a missfire. If you keep driving it, you'll need to replace your cat converter as well as whatever else is causing the misfire.

who started this "whenever-I-have-any-problem-whatsoever-I'm-going-to-say-it's-probably-your-TPS" bullshit....
It's annoying.
and to the starter of this thread, CEL's are for a reason. They say Check Engine not so you can open your hood and make sure it is still there, but to throughly CHECK it. OBDII and 1996 and newer vehicles have made this VERY easy for vehicle owners. When the CEL comes on, you can scan the car's ECU/VCM/whatever and somewhat pinpoint the problem to a less broad approach as simply "check your engine", or a less dumb approach as "TPS!" LOL.
If your CEL starts to flash, you have a misfire... GARUNTEED (no scan needed). But you should still get it scanned so you can pinpoint the cylinder or see if it is a random misfire detected...
P0300 Random Misfire
P0301 Misfire Cyl 1
P0302 Misfire Cyl 2
P0303 Misfire Cyl 3
P0304 Misfire Cyl 4
Flashing CEL indicates misfire detected MORE THAN 2% per 1000revolutions for TWO CONSECUTIVE driving cycles...
It's flashing for a reason, stop driving it (or at least baby it to the car shop, no high revving) as continued engine use can cause damage to your catalytic convertor.

No, you dipshit, we try to fix the simple things first and make sure that we aren't overdiagnosing something.

He's having trouble idling.
Very common with the bad TPS.
That is also exactly what happens with a bad TPS, as I've had it happen and have seen it on others.
So, he should check his TPS and MAF first, as always, and if it's not those, move on.
I say my man, what TPS do you have installed? DaeSung or Kiefco?

^^^
^^ALSO, an exact description of a misfire condition (pretty bad one...) and especially the part underlined, which is basically defining a "bog".
Which is exactly why a "my car feels funny" or even a VERY accurate description of your car's troubles isn't enough to accuratly diagnose a car via the internet. Just raise up ideas and things to check you normally wouldn't...

? LOL.... Jeremy, if I told you I was having problems with the g/f, there is a 60% chance you would tell me to check my TPS, or see if my MAF was pointing in the right direction. lmao.gifQUOTE

lol, you guys fight more than elementary school girls. lmao.gif
best thing you can do is get it scanned, write down the codes and come and post them, plus look it up in webtech.
