Before you say it yes I know they are cheap but I just can't spend 400 bucks on headers right now.

Anyone have an opinion on these bad or good:

same ole cheap header most people got.. do a search for more info..

they are built pretty good, but buzz alot at higher throttle and rpm.. the sound will probably annoy you, but some people aren't bothered by it.

you will feel a little performance increase, and will look 100% better than the stock cast iron manifold..

i would say wait, save up some money and get a better quality header, or wait til someone sells there header and buy that for cheaper.

I just thought while I had no front on my car and was going to buy a bunch of parts anyway I might as well get headers.

there is a big diffrence with and without it smile.gif

I was thinking these are the ones but I wasn't sure about 3 things.

1. Is 1.5 inches a standard pipe size or should I look for something bigger (more exhaust flow)?

2. When I lose my cat that the header replaces I don't think i'll pass inspection or don't I need it?

3. I planned on some header wrap for it how long of a roll do you think I would need is 50ft ok?

Thanks for the advice guys!

1. 1.5inchs is a size for A runner in some headers, but the final size should be 2.25-2.5" and

2. keep your exhaust to 2.5 because you dont have enough flow to push thru that much piping, you could end up losing power going to big

3. you wont pass inspections and it will throw a CEL. but i didnt think that PA had inspections so you should check into it. the best way is to just get a high/flow cat and call it a day

4. 50ft sounds like enough headerwrap but you could allways buy a second pack and take it back if you dont use it.

You need to buy a high-flow cat with an o2 bung post cat. Then, you need to extend the wires of your second o2 sensor so they reach, and the first o2 sensor gets stuck wherever your header has a place for it (usually in one of the collectors, or in the flex pipe)

50ft. of header wrap should be plenty for the headers and part of the downpipe part of the headers.

2.25" exhaust will be more then fine as long as you have press or mandrel bent piping.. i read somewhere online that 2.25" exhaust is good to about 185whp, which none of you n/a guys will probably ever see. so that pretty much shows that 2.5" is not needed until you boost.

misewell just stick with a stock cat instead of a high flow cat. itll save you money, give you better sound, and not hurt performance enough to notice.

But then you need to get an o2 bung welded in, that will cost at least $20, and you can have a high flow that is the same diameter as the rest of your pipe and comes with an o2 bung for like $40.

I would get the high flow cat, but again, I am a perfectionist.

I also like 2.5" piping, and socks, if 2.5" is NEEDED at 180whp, then it surely could show a performance increase at around 150whp. Just because it's not necessary, doesn't mean it won't help a little bit.
