gt cams????
How is it that the gt cams make more power when my gt lists 140hp like the reguler elantra???? also need help looking for a shift kit for my 2002 elantra gt way too much slip between shifts planing to add a nos kit trans 4speed auto

guessing, I'd say they wasted the extra potential power satisfying emissions requirements, or else understated the stock power numbers. Or maybe the exhaust cam is worse enough.(?) The how is increased lift and duration.

Simple. The GT engine does NOT make more power than your engine.
The GT CAM, when placed in another engine makes more power. It does not make this power in the GT.
Hyundai has been convicted of "overstating" their HP numbers in Korea. I have long suspected that the early gen1's did not have the 140 HP hyundai claimed. Looking at the specs...the GT engine should either produce MORE than 140, or the other motors should produce LESS than 140....
