Got My New Tranny.. Now Some Questions.
I would get the KJB linkage bushings while your at it. Piece of cake to install them when you have everything off the car. Simple mod to do while in the process. Just a piece of advice.
I wasn't quite clear what you were talking about at first.
I thought you meant the shift linkage was off of the transmission and you were wanting to know if your old one will work with mine.
Anyways... like I said it's from a 99 with 69K that was rear ended in 02 and has sat every since. I managed to get it started and after removing the rear bumper I actually moved it 1/3 of a mile. All the gears worked including reverse. No grind no hard shift.

it can be done
you need to remove the roll pin,sometimes it must be drilled out
then pull the lever off the shaft,sometimes they're seized up and heat might be required
