Default Got my Crank Pulley in!

I finally got my crank pulley in! I can really tell a difference! She revs up higher and has more low end torque! I'm so excited! BUUUUUT..... I also bought an overdrive pulley kit off of ebay and the guy said it was for a 95-99 and a 97-01 so I just figured he meant it fit both gens.. but it doesnt. It's for a 1st gen only. So I'm sad. But if any 1st gens are interested, I'm selling it for $70 on ebay - thats 50% cheaper than shark racing. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...item=7952342302

^it's not hard..just gotta remove that crank bolt with an impact or securing a breaker bar and bliping the motor.

well i was talking about the underdrive set but you can tell us both if you want... i wanted to know because there is a guy on ebay right now selling those underdrive pulleys from obx and i asked him a question about it fitting and such after you said you bought one and it didnt fit your rd2..

ME:
ok so i have some questions about this underdrive pulley set.. ive heard that some people have bought these pulleys on ebay and it ended up being only for the RD1 tib(95-99), and did not fit their RD2 tib(00-01) even though it was advertised to fit the RD2, can you assure me that it will fit my 2001 tiburon? also in the description it says that it comes with everything for install, does this product require different belts? and if so does the pulleys come with new belts? This is indeed a underdrive pulley as it says on the obx box correct?...

jjboy925:

this is actually their overdrive, because their underdrive pulley is one pulley and this serves as the overdrive. The box as just printed wrong from a small manufacturing error from printing. This kit does not come with belts, and doesnt need new belts (or as some say but i dont knor for sure since i dont own a tiburon). As for the years, obx just told me that it would fit all.

is jjboy the guy you bought it off of? and is /this/ BS or what?
