I plan on doing a full DIY. All I can say is that it looks harder than it is. I have taken apart One transmission in my life and I havent had trouble with this one yet. I will hopefully put up a full DIY as soon as I get the diff in. Ive probably worked on it an hour total so far. Thats with the trans out already.

Thats awesome, i'd like to build a new 5speed as my 2nd gear syncro is pissin me off, so instead of having the downtime associated with putting a new syncro in my current tranny and putting in the LSD i think i'll just go with a new low mileage beta 1 5-speed, or maybe even a beta 2 five and install it while still able to drive my car.

One thing's for sure i dont like paying somebody else to do it so i could really use a nice DIY.

Out of an Elantra. The motor is getting built right now, just waiting on the rods to do the machining. The head I will probably do in a while.

NICE!

Did you get the quaife? If so, where from and how muchie? (if you don't mind).

Lookin good, hope you can remember how it goes back together! J/K.

Hey, did you get a shim kit? I think I am just going to order diff bearings and that is it, what do you think?

Hell, the trans I have only has 25k on it, I doubt I will be needing shims.

Have not gotten it yet but it is coming. Chris at Flyryde is hopefully hooking me up for what he owes me.

I am getting everything that I am replacing and the extra oem parts this week. I will probably get the shim kit just in case so well see if I use it or not.

I should be fine getting it all back together with all the pics I have and how I laid everything out. Hopefully.
