Default Fuel Pressure regulator with gauge?

I was wondering what sort of benefits i could get from replacing my fuel pressure regulator on my N/A engine. I get a slight whining noise from the fuel system after i installed my walbro pump, and i was hoping that the fpr might remove that.

Also is there a FPR out there with a guage attachment? So i can tell the fuel pressure in the fuel rail? I have some misfies and fuel delivery problems, when i hit the empty mark
(no smart comments please, normally i can go till the gas light comes on steady, but by the time it blinks once or twice, i'm already misfiring and stuttering).

I highly doubt whether an FPR will stop the whine. You are just gonna have to live with it. Only if your car is running lean will you benefit from using an FPR (to increase FP at rail above stock level) on an N/A stock to lightly modded car.

I believe B&M has their FPR with the 1.25" gauge. Their book says it is for Honda, Acura, and DSM, but I would imagine it could be set up to work with the Beta.

What's a good and cheap regulator for high nitrous applications? Preferably one with a gauge. Would that B&M be a good one?

It doesn't have the guage with it, but here is and adjustable one from jcwhitney for the beta engine. You can get a guage from autometer for that though.

Hope this helps

B&M mech. gauge = $30

Autometer mech. gauge = $60+
Autometer elec. gauge = $180+

I'm running on a budget unfortunately. frown

You can get the B&M FPR with gauge seperately for $89 total from Summitracing.
