With the system off, the Vette galloped to 60 mph in 4.3 seconds and through the quarter-mile in 12.7 seconds at 113 mph.The C5s we've tested have averaged 4.9 to 60 and 13.4 at 108 in the quarter, and the quickest Z06 [C/D , December 2001] ran 4.0 and 12.4 at 116.

And thats the Z51, let's see the new ZO6 please?

Also youre saying from a roll youd have the advantage against a no turbo lag RWD 19" rear tire 3224lb car with a small block p[roducing 400bhp with traction control... I don't think thats very realistic.

Also the highway monster thing, you are saying your car would beat a vette that has a 175mph top speed... And six gears, again not very realistic.

Damn this shiz has gone off topic to the fullest. Im sorry. Ill leave it here.

*EDIT*
DAAAAAMN!!! The Excel PWNED the SRT10 lol. Wow who is that guy? Is he on the forums? wow i loved the ghetto "intercooler cooling duct" job done to the hood lol. 8O

Lets see from a roll I will already be boosting so what turbo lag. Oh yeah I have an electronic boost controller like I said what turbo lag? Oh yeah I have a stage 3 TMO Eprom in my ECU.. stu.. stu.. stutter box ownz you. Like I said what turbo lag?. Watch the Vid.. 500hp viper engine in a truck vs a 4g63t Excel with a 16g which weighs a wee bit less than an Elantra. Yes its a bigger turbo but he was racing a faster vehicle. Plus he walked on him badly like it wasnt even close. I guess I'll have to go out vette hunting with the DVD cam to prove you wrong. Not this weekend though. Its a holiday weekend and cops are everywhere 02.gif

But here are my mods
Ported 2G Exhaust manifold
Ported 2G O2 Housing
Ported 14b
TMO Stage 3 EProm http://www.tmo.com/prod/eprom/stages.shtml
Apex'i AVC-R Electronic Boost controller
2.5" Turbo back exhaust
Walbro 190lph fuel pump

That is one bland looking sedan. I like the gauges though.

Ok, ADD is kicking in and didn't read all of the posts above....but we haven't missed anything.
These are, as Redz said, the THETA engine a.k.a. CVVT which=very difficult to tune and require special tools just to work on and my guess would be that the turbo they are referring to is H.A.R.D. We need to get more information on this and the CVVT if any of us plan on even attempting to work on one of these!! 8O

I entered the daimler chrysler website last week and saw in the news that chrysler sold its Hyundai motor stock... so that would change the "doing motors for chrysler"....

Supposedly.....Hyundai is Re-entering the WRC (;-)) next year......

This is a guess, AND I think a fairly reasonable one, but i would have to say that what ever platform Hyundai decides to use for the WRC will be the test bed for the Theta.
