Few Questions
Ok i have a 1997 tiburon 1.8 auto tranny...i was wondering wat would be a good tranny upgrade and some other engine mods to do...supercharger or turbo...any other engine fuel electrical mods also...i am new to this stuff...all feed back is appreciated....
Unfortunately, going turbo or supercharged requires a lot of money, skill, and knowledge; it's not something you can do cheaply and easily, otherwise we would all have done it a long time ago.
About the only possible tranny upgrade is to switch to the Beta II tranny (the one used on newer 4 cylinder tiburons and elantras). It's not straightforward, but doable (there are a couple of threads on it). Other than that, you can do smaller upgrades that can help a lot, like shifter bushings and short throw shifters.
Please try to look around the site and search. As you can imagine, almost everybody has similar questions when they first join the site.
Edit: oh you have an auto tranny, swapping to a Beta manual tranny should be an upgrade to you, but it's not very easy to do.

ok thanks for the input...i would like to do internals such as a cam and all the pulleys also, pistons and rods,i was lookin around at turbos and im thinkin around 3500 for a good setup....
id say manual tranny swap, fidanza flywheel, clutch, and lsd
btw: i know a bunch of people with turboed cars and it seems as if something is always goin on with their cars.if i were you i'd go a head and do massive amounts of researching and read corky bells maximum boost(amazon.com $25). if anything id say start doing mods like pulleys, bbtb, exhuast, intake manifold, ect. those being the parts that would not interfere with you eventually wanting to go turbo. but for your cars sake dont just go running to boost, its fun but can go really bad if you dont know what youre doing.

3500 sounds about right (for turbo and tuning stuff, no internals), if you are able to do all the work yourself.
You can always start with a low boost (5-8 psi) on stock internals, our stock engines can safely take that much boost (at least the 2 liter Beta). Once you have that running you can upgrade your internals and turn up the boost.
Edit: yup, rd2pimp has a good point, it's a good idea to start with some basic mods that will be useful even if you choose to go turbo later on.
By the way, please try to use more spacing and capitalization, your messages are kinda hard to read (both of you nana.gif)

Honestly, do you have some problems with typing?

Seriously man, it may seem anal, but it puts a lot of folks off.
