Exhaust question?
OK, next week I'll be ordering the Pace-setter catback. Should I have the shop that does the install to run new piping from my stock headers to the Pace-setter system, while installing a high flow cat and removing the exhaust resonator? (P.S. I have to pass an emissions test in my state)
I know what most peeps are going to say, "Pace-setter sucks!" well save it! because I know several people with the P-S and have only heard good things.
I plan on going with SR headers in late spring but can't wait until then to do the cat-back, so should I just install the cat-back and wait until the header install to do the high flow cat or what?

Zup dude. Well...as far as P-S exhausts go..if you like it..then that's what's important. Don't worry about other people's opinions. wink.gif
Anyway...if you plan on getting headers in the very near future..then you may want to wait on getting the custom pipes installed. The reason why I say that is because with headers, you want about 2.5" piping. Without headers, you want 2.25" It's sort of a catch 22 thing. If you install 2.5" NOW..then you're car might lose performance until you get the headers put on. And if you get 2.25" pipes put in now, then they'll be too small for when you DO get the headers.
It's not a big performance loss that you would have if you went with 2.5" pipes now...but if you can wait..I would do that. Once you get the headers, have them, 2.5" pipes installed, and a nice free flow cat, and you'll definitly be good to go with lots of performance gains!
wink.gif Good luck!
EDIT: One other thing...if you remove the factory resonator...you're car is going to be pretty loud with the headers. Hence..giving cops a second look at your car. Get a small glasspack, and have the shop put that in the place of the stock resonator and that will help quiet things down a little from the headers.
