Exhaust Ports Finally Revealed

So, who's gonna swap to a Beta 2 head for us, get it dyno'd, flowtested, ported/polished/grinded, and flowtested/dyno'd again?
That's basically what DMDICKS did. Granted he started with a beta2 head...but you still get the idea.
The only other person I know of who did a before/after dyno on headporting was RED. He gained 8whp after the porting on his beta1 head. (he already had IHE)

DMDICKS has a Beta 2 all the way around though right?
You still talk to RED? I'd like to know who did his head here.

This is all very tempting. As much as I have come to respect turbos, I still do not know enough about them to embrace them compleatly. I am still very much an "au natural" guy when it comes to engines. I prefer the Naturally Aspirated to forced induction.
I am thinking that a Beta2 head done right, with mild, but more aggressive cams than the 1.8 intake, a 1.8 crank in the 2.0 block, air ram intake, BBTB, good exhaust work, all coupled with everything being lightened, polished, and match ported... it would be screaming engine. Fire it off with a standalone, and you would be running the Hyundai version of a honda engine. More or less stock torque, but 200 hp at a lofty 8 grand.
The problem is getting the standalone through emissions inspection. I may have to talk to my garage to see what happens when they get a car they cannot get the ORB2 to work on. If they will do a tailpipe test, I am set.
