I was thinking the other day if we could use our stock exhaust manifolds for a turbo setup. It is positioned correctly, all you need is to have a piece put on to connect to the turbo and you're all set.

I know it sounds pretty budget but I think it might work.

Uhm...

No?

You'd have to do a lot of cutting and welding.

hmmmm, no! it will end up costing more than if you were gonna buy a turno manifold. Plus the flow will be restrictive because of the cat!

Oh the CAT would go for sure, . I was actually looking at the pictures of the log style mainfold from speed-factor. (ugly IMO, sorry Tim) so I was cleaning up my engine bay and just got to thinking it might work, that's all.

McIntyre did that with his Twin Engined Tib... both of the engines. He cut and welded the stock manifold to mount the turbos... and in my opinion, it probably does flow better than the log manifold.. but worse than Tim's new tuned manifold.

What??? I think I confused myself, the CAT is connected to the manifold at the lower end of the engine. Liek I said, if the CAT comes off it looks just like the Log Style Manifold. Personally I would take that out and replace it with the downpipe. Then install a high flow cat to do the same job later on in the piping. Keep in mind I haven't done this I just had a thought and new someone would have an opinion.
