Default Exhaust has Rasp Sound to it

ok i got a full evofusion exhaust on my 02 elantra and it makes this anoying rasp sound at high rpms does anyone else have this problem or know how to fix it

its a small 4cyl. that is going to be hard to avoid

That's the natural sound the engine makes. You can use a resonator to eliminate most of it. Probably only $50 bucks total installed.

my friend said it cause i dont have a cat and also the sim thats on the downpipe isnt that sopose to act like a resignator?

A cat will quiet things down by restricting your flow, but a resonator is better because it won't restrict your flow, just filter out the high frequencies through geometry and the way sound waves behave.

Sim on the downpipe? I'm not sure what you mean.

Do you have the 1st or 2nd gen EF exhaust? The 1st with that huge ass fartcan can be loud as hell and raspy to boot. The 2nd is pretty mild and the only drone I ever get out of it is at a constant highway speed, but even then, it's tolerable.

I was told it was called a sim right after the o2 sensor ad it looked like a weved backer kinda and Im pretty sure it's a 2nd gen Ev ehshaut

The flex pipe? Do you have a huge round stupid looking muffler on the end, or a normal looking oval one?
