Default Exhaust clamps

Since my cat is blown and it's welded in my ss downpipe. I'm thinking about cutting it out and putting a new one in. Since I can't weld ss, I'm thinking about using some lap clams. These should work. Also I was going to buy a pipe expander to assist with the project. Anybody have any experiance working with these clamps? Thx

They are good. Lots of people with S4s use them. They cut out the cats, then when they need to pass etest thay put them back on.

If you need to know where to get 'em (besides online), any place that does diesel trucks should have 'em.

that's soooo funny! that happened with my first CAI when it came loose, got sucked under and i ran it over. watched it in the rear view mirror and the car behind had to swerve out of the way. OMG embarrassing.

just by the way the clamps work, i would stay far far away from them. the whole exhaust moves. if you're going to do it, do it right. save up some cash and it might save you from losing something and shelling out more money. and you get it welded you can be sure of the connection and not have to think about it all the time.

my cat is welded, and no problems. if you need it replaced, get it rewelded. it might be a little easier to buy a universal cat then to keep buying one with the correct dimensions.

Well it's just my cat that will be clamped! I think it should be fine. I don't want to keep shelling out cash to get it re welded everytime one blowes out. So it should just fine! Thanks guys.
