Default Engine swap

I have a 2000mod coupe with 1.6 engine .and 5-speed gearbox ,,this is a alpha engine right?
can i switch to a 2.0 engine to my car without any kind of problems? what about ecu and wiring?

some tips would be nice ... and i live i europe-norway ...my engine is MAP based. rolleyes.gif

I never heard of a tiburon with a 1.6L, do u mean the 1.8L. If it is the 1.8L i did a few mesurments between the two. They seem to match up. As for wiring and everythign, your going to need someone else on that.

For the 1.6L, I'm not sure man.

I belive it is the Alpha though.

well in norway these cars come with three different engines ..1.6 2.0 . and 2.7 v6 ...and i have the smallest one ...

oh your not talking about the accent swap. id imagine that it would work, but i don't think anyone has ever done it yet.

Speed-Factor : Thanks man , btw ...if i can swap to 2.0 engine without any problems ,, what about turbo kit ? for the 1.6? will it fit? and do i need 2.0 wiring or can i use 1.6?

hm ,as i know the 1.6 is alike 2.0 in size ,,just the ccm is smaller, but remain answers to ,,,wiring and ecu with a engine swap to 2.0 .. i hope i just had to switch engines ...same wiring to both ..but just had to use ecu from a 2.0 ..sorry for the bad english ..
