I went down to advanced auto and got my cel code read and it came back:

P1123
Fuel air metering
Fuel system rich idle (explains almost stalling out at idle sometimes)
Timer position sensor (is this my actual timing as in cams?)

My car starts fine, but now and then it will just about stall until i press the gas while idling. It also stutters when i am driving sometimes (feels like a newbie stick driver, but not as harsh) and i know its not my clutch.

Please let me know what you all think it could be. I'd rather fix it myself if i can, but if its my timing ill just take it to a shop...i dont trust myself that much.

it's 99% is your MAF Sensor but
is p1123 the only code set?, if so, then start at the air inlet tube, checking for obstructions or leaking vacuum hose., if ok, then
inspect exhaust sytem for leaks, manifold, cat, muffler. inspect for faulty o2 sensors, if there ok, then
inspect evap canister purge control soleniod for operation, ability to HOLD a vacuum., if ok, then
inspect fuel pressure .
more than likely, either the front o2 sensor os dead, or the fuel pressure is too high. unfortunalty, you need a special hyundia adaptor to check fuel pressure, and if you have access toa scan tool for codes, hten you should be able to access some data stream, also.

There was a pending code for my cat, but i do not have one so it only comes on with a bad tank of gas.
Other than that no other code came up.
So its probably a vacuum leak?
I'm mostly worried about the timing position sensor code.

as i told try cleaning you MAF Sensor that sits on the tube before throttle body it's like round shape sensor
but not with brake cleaner lol smile.gif
if there was pending code for your cat than after cleaning maf sensor if it's still gonna show up change your upstream oxygen sensor
p.s i didn't got something what does it have to do with timing position sensor code????

when i checked hyundai code p1123 stand for both Fuel system rich idle and Timer position sensor
other than the sensor in the cat, none of my exhaust sensors tripped.
