Default Engine/Labor question

People who dont know im doing a turbo setup, I'm doing a turbo setup. =-o

Question is which will be cheaper in labor:
Over bore for pistons and rods, injectors, Manifold, etc

Building up the engine in my car:
-or-
My old engine i still have, but got replaced due to a melted piston:
Cylinder wall is scratched up, but i would have to bore the cylinder walls anyway for the pistons and rods.

I would rebuilt your original engine since it'S already out of the car, cost will be the same but you'll reduce down time this way

Using the old engine may save on labor cost & time since it's out of the car, not to mention you can still drive your car while your old engine is being modified. wink

It is CHEAPER to work on an engine OUT of the car. In addition to the PITA factor that you get to drive your exisiting car while you work on the second motor.

Paying someone to remove the motor to have the work performing is $$$.

Also, the more parts you remove from your "spare" motor, the better off you will be cost wise.

well if he pays to get the engine installed and removed the price should be the same but if hge do it himself they he will save
and By using the blown engine he could sell the working one to recover some cost
