I've recently been having some problems with my car, when i'm at a complete stop my car idles at 1000rpms and then drops down to 500rpms. The engine seems like its gonna kill and then it kicks back up to 1000rpms. This happens when the car is all warmed up, but doesn't happen when cold. Other then that it seems to drive fine.

Any ideas? I know i'm due for a fuel filter change, i've already did a tune-up on it(plugs & wires). My cars got about 80,000miles

I think you'll get mostly IAC or TPS responses.

They tell me that when you press on the side of the TPS, it may idle funny or change idle speed if it's going bad but it's not a SURE sign.

Try that first and see.

IAC, TPS or spark plugs/wires could cause a low RPM with a rumble.

Wires seem unlikely to cause fluctuating idle though.

Clean the throttle body.
