I want to stay n/a, or supercharge if i have to because i absolutely hate any kind of lag....i need the instant kick in the ass. I do a lot of autocross and hillclimbs so i really need that low-mid range to be strong.

ONLY 11:1 compression ham? i thought that 11-12 is the limit on 93?

as for the twin tb making a difference, yes it does...you get gobs of power compared to a single tb setup, or about 75-80% of the power from a quad setup.

Staying NA is a nice idea, but if you want power, you have to go forced. As for superchargers, you might wanna review how NOT good they run for us. A CUSTOM setup might run better, but the best would be to get a turbo system, put it on there with a turbo that spools low, and learn how to drive again.

yea i've heard about alpines busted a$$ setup and how we cant even get 200 to the wheel with an aquacooler.

will i be able to get decent low end power with going turbo? i thought that even if they make boost at 3k they arent in their upper efficiency range until prolly 4500 and are only putting out a nominal amount of boost.

ill prolly get reamed for that one but i just started to read SCCP's book about suck, squish, banh, blow...call me semi ignorant

and what would be the max non standalone setup for a turbo?

IJSTBRNDU, you can use a small turbo that will spool fast from low RPM.

WOW so two tb's do make a difference.
Could any of you send me a link of a DIY or any information about going from a single tb to a twin tb.

Also Dmitry or anyone else would you have any ideas of a turbo that spools low cause Im in the same boat I want the horse power at the lower range as well.

for example Garrett T25 should be effiecient in low-mid-range RPM.
If you have money - better go with ball bearing turbo like Garrett GT20 or GT22.

But before you buy a turbo, I highly recommend you to read Maximum Boost by Corcky Bell, or at least do some search to find out how to read compressor map and how to choose turbo that will work for you the best.

Wild N/A setups like that are harder to tune than light-modest turbo setups. If you think members here have problems with turbo setup tuning, wait till you try to get that to idle and run correctly.

11-12:1 compression is about what you could run on 93.

If you want instant kick in the ass, you shoulda bought a V8. tongue.gif
